How do you guys re-download SF?

I installed new hardware, and SF needs to be re-downloaded. EA's auto-downloader is totally borked, no matter what I do it gives me a "core" followed by an "X" error and never pulls up the download screen. How can I get SF re-installed?

Have you tried reinstalling the EA downloader, I built a new comp & try'd just move'n files over, it didnt work apparently it makes a GUID off your HARDWARE & if you have new hardware it need to be reinstalled.

This worked for me no problems but it does depend on whether you saved the appropriate files How to reinstall SF without redownloading

Reinstall EA downloader...make sure SF is actuall uninstalled.

Then go to EA downloader, log in and redownload.

Any way to burn the image to dvd/cd once it is downloaded.... so I don't have to download the whole dang thang again if and when i do a complete system wipe?

This doesn't do anything, is this a joke? Like I said the EA autodownloader won't even open...just a "core" error with a red "X". I deleted the xpak in my BF2 folder and I'll try the EA thing again.

This is what I get after the EA downloader loads up. If I select any function (log-in / about / help) I get this error. This will be the last time I ever purchase anything from EA on line because their customer support sucks (can't email them). This is the 1st version of the auto downloader, after it updates itself, this is what happends. Where can I download the latest version?

Are you by chance using the Internet Explorer 7 Preview?

I had the same problem but everything works fine with IE7 uninstalled. I'll just reinstall it after I download Euro Force and do it all again for Armored Fury.

As far as I know, the EA downloader uses parts of IE to work. Just having IE7 installed will keep the downloader from working. If you want to download SF again or get either of the Booster Packs, you'll need to uninstall IE7.

Ok....well uninstalling IE7 (and the risks of Micro$oft screwing up my OS) isn't worth it. I just wanted to install SF again to see if I got the new sniper rifle. I don't play SF anyway.

I tried the link on my sons computer who is running IE 6.0 and its still a no-go. For whatever reason this link simply doesn't work from my connection.
