Definative install order from scratch.

Can someone post the proper install order from scratch, inculding ALL patches, that definately works.

I had trouble in the past with having to install a patch before SF rather than after it, but i cant remember the order that worked.

You never need the older patchs. SF will install patch 1.1 by default. I don't think you can stop this but it shgouldn't make any difference as you're going to erase it with 1.2 afterwards.

Sure you dont have to install something before SF?

well i am about to try it, ill let you guys know

special forces does not work with patch, but i only tried incremental

only thing that has worked for me is:

-uninstall
-clean install
-1.12 patch
-1.12 -> 1.2 incremental



...but if i add SF anywhere in that order it does NOT work
i cant play SF AT ALL now, even on 1.12

at least plain BF2 works, so that at least gives me hope.

i uninstalled everything and planned the following:

bf2 - installed
sf - installed
full patch 1.2 - d/ling

will update after completing the planned sequence

IT WORKED

heres what i did:

uninstall SF
uninstall BF2
install BF2
install SF
run STANDALONE patch to 1.2

done


in game it says "1.1.2xxx" in the top right corner,
but it works! yay!
