1.2 - wtf is going on?

Okay, EA Downloader's ****ed. Period.

I reinstalled BF2, downloaded SF - I've paid for it so I want to use it obviously. I downloaded the 1.12 update, and installed it.

This is where everything ****s up.

I download the 1.12 - 1.2 patch, and try to install it. Okay, it's going alright. Oops, what's this? Can't find the file? So I navigate my harddrive to find it, and - lo behold - it's there. So, needless to say, I was a bit confused.

Anywho, I tried that. Great, no problems...

So it seemed, at least.

No error, no confirmation of install. Now BF2 won't start. At. All.

Thanks EA, thank you for the 14 reinstalls I've tried.

Now, that's the bitterness out of the way! Can anybody help me? Please? I'll give you a cookie?

Try a full complete manual uninstall. Install bf2, Install Sf. After this I installed the new Direct X and ran a PB update. After I defraged, install 1.2. Run bf2 for it to optimize shaders, then I defrag again.
