    1.2 Patch: An honest opinion

The new 1.2 patch addresses a lot of necessary issues, but it changes the gameplay too much all at once. The issue of air power dominating the game needed to be addressed, but they made anti-air from the ground too powerful and too accurate, and they made stinger missiles from planes too accurate.

Bunny hopping/dolphin diving was only a minor issue that very few people complained about after the first couple months of release. Though many complained about after the first couple of beers. After a while, most, if not all players bunny hopped to a certain degree and most were fine with it.
Now, you can't fire while jumping (not realistic in real-life combat) nor can you pull the trigger on c4 while jumping (I do not remember this ever being mentioned in the forums as a problem).

Overall I like most of what the patch does:
    - graphics
    - increased Anti Air power
    - increased Air to Air missile accuracy and power
    - new ranks
    - tanks taking out choppers with one round

But I think that DICE/EA changed the gameplay of the game way too much at one time. I would suggest going back and creating a new patch to allow firing while jumping and make a moderate reduction in the accuracy/power of Anti Air/Air to Air missiles.

Changes to the game should be a little more subtle than the 1.2 patch has made them.

Overall, good job Dice/EA, but don't change a game so much at one time.

      Lolz

I like it here how everyone thinks their opinion matters, its what everyone thinks that makes the difference, the poll states that the majority are happy.
