Novice wants to learn how to model/skin

As the title says..I am hoping someone will take me under their wing and teach me how to model or skin. I have always loved photoshop so I believe skinning would be easiest for me to learn but I wouldn't mind doing either. I want to pursue a job in the gaming industry and what better way to get my feet wet than to mod the greatest game of all time?

I am 18, live in the US, am on the PC every afternoon and would be very dedicated to the team. I learn quick I just need someone to show me the way

i can teach you if you want,im pretty good with 3ds max and know how to get new weapons and buildings into BF2,so if you want you can email me and i can help you learn to model
