The gun is not over power, we are talking about a Automatich Machine Gun, that shoots 7.62 rounds witch are more acurate than 5.56 and more deadly, and while laying prone(should use the bipods) so come one, before it was ok, i had to really line the person up good, now, now is the same, but the recoil is not as bad, and bullets spread is not as far. I didn't use it too much prior to the patch, my favorite support is the SAW, but im starting to fall in love with the PKM because of the raw stoping power.

Its silly how PKM has gotten so powerful in just one day. A sniper doesn't even have that same accuracy and power in the game so how in all thats good and holy is the PKM a sprayage and a sniper in one. How stupid. I guess only EA and Dice can produce such 'realism' in game, LOL!

i laffed at all teh snipers on Sharqi last nite trying to shoot me from about 20m. dead. lol at one point i had 6 snipers around me and the commander kept spotting them in game. i dint need no pkm, my shiny new blade was enough.

the pkm in my opions is as it should be now, an infantry stopping machine. i did see people try to flank me when i was using it though so thats a good sign for teamwork

Man those snipers sucked, too close and not aware enough... They where probably just trying out the L96 and the tweaks to the M95... The L96 really rocks (though technically it is identical to the M24)...

Back to the subject at hand, the PKM really rocks and works as it should do in my opinion... Sharqi last night I see three US players charging our flag, I hit the ground and open up with the PKM and they go down like a pack of cards. Nice...

Now just incase any one feels it is over powered in the above situation the 3 enemy solders were all bunched up following each other to the flag so a few nice bursts sorted them all out (as opposed to before when the bursts would have sent rounds in all directions maybe killing one of them)... Now if the three enemy solder had mantained seperation and covered each other while they moved there is no way i could have killed them all so quickly and they would probably have gotten me...

The PKM is no magical, it is just an accurate and pwerful machine gun...

Yea, I think the snipper situation will calm down after a week or so, I think the L96 is basically the same as the M24. But it is nice to have it as an unlock, so it can be used with Mec/Chin. sides. Think is, its so sweet to hear, I was shooting last night just to listen to the 'report" sound it makes when fired.

7.62mm rounds are not more accurate than 5.56mm rounds. I do agree with your main point though, the PKM is a medium machine gun and should be very powerful.

Also, MG36 is now clearly inferior (Max deviation of 10 comparing to 1.1)

All support guns gained an accuracy boost. Mg-36 is actually more accurate then PKM if you look at the figures.

Ive just figure out thta the PKM single shot is toooo Tooooooooo accurate, I shot the wall at a distance of 25M and the bullet hole stick on same place. Almost no deviation. Just do a test, you can snipe with it....

I could snipe with it before.

Of course they will seem "overpowered" now, because they went from "grossly inaccurate" to "able to actually hit people". At least now when your support buddy is giving you covering fire, it might make people stay the hell down, instead of laughing and calmly walking across your lane of fire.

Bonus part about all the "new" support players? I can finally get some damn ammo without a supply crate.
