WTF is wrong with the shock paddles?

I am disappointed with the patch in many ways. But one thing that really bothers me is the shock paddles. What the hell happened to them? Supposedly now that they recharge while not in use, but sometimes, they don't recharge at all! I just use them, and it waits about 2 or 3 seconds to recharge. Also, there are missing animations when doing it. Overall, i don't think what they have done to them was any good. I mean, yeah, i can use them, put them away, and pull them out again and they are charged, but using them is way too clumsy.

And then reviving. What happens here? I try to revive someone right in the chest, and nothing happens. I am then stuck with it just sitting there, waiting for it to recharge. Also, when you go prone and use them, after they are discharged, you can click and spam "Clear!" messages until those 3 seconds are up and it recharges.

Anyone else notice the poor adjustments made?

And what is with the incredible stuttering in the patch, even with <40 ping?

I don't know. I just got through playing a round about an hour ago where my squad was taken out by a grenade and I was able to 1.) take out the grenader, and 2.) revive my whole squad--well, four of them anyway. I didn't notice any difference. <shrug>

ya, i've played on nothing but low ping servers and have not seen this. there just seems to be an issue with reloading in general that needs to be fixed

i find the aiming REALLY rubbish......i end up having to zap them about 5 times before i actually revive them

Isn't there a little bar? You can only do a few revives and then wait for bar to fill

I had the same problem....dunno why but it was lagging so bad that it was as if the guy i was shooting at was teleporting around....

I uninstalled and then reinstalled BF2 and the patch and everything is kosher now.

Now, like with ammo and health packs, there is a certain amount of energy that shock paddles have. You can't keep throwing health packs. You can throw like two or three and then you have to wait for your health pack 'energy' to fill back up to a certain point.

It's the same with the shock paddles now. If you look at the bottom right of your screen when you shock someone the paddle energy will go down. . .and then the recharge AND the energy will both start creeping up. If you keep shocking it will eventually run out of energy and you can't shock until you have enough energy to do so.

It was a quiet nerf to the medics. . . but it isn't that big of a deal, you just have to be more careful about shocking.

Ha, atleast the paddles work for you guys. All I ever did before 1.2 was be a medic, now I can't revive anyone. I put the paddles directly on their chest and shock away, but I haven't succesfully revived a single person since the patch.
