Hi!
I'm sorry if this thread is consider as unnecessary, if so, then please do what you got to do - moderator.
Okay, let me start now.
I've been playing the 1.2 patch for around 4 hours straight now.
And now I've decided to make a review of it so I can share my thought and opinions to the community of totalbf2.
Downloading & installing:
The downloading site I chosed was rapidshare, fast and easy.
I downloaded the incremental file, the file which you're required to have 1.12 before installing.
The installation was fast, and I noticed that DICE had put in a new window instead of the slow 'Patching, please wait'. This one was a big plus and it gives the user a better view of what is happening.
But as everyone know, it still takes alot of time on a normal computer.
Downloading & installing: 7/10.
First impression:
So the first thing I did was to check out BFHQ, nothing special there. Just wanted to check out the new two weapons.
I got myself online on a Polish server.
I didn't notice anything special in the beginning except very smoother graphic than before - I'm running everything on medium.
And after a while I checked out alot of the new stuff that has been updated.
I got a bit bothered about the weapon lowering when you jump, not the function, but the animations. It looked like you were running like a freak in the air from your first person view.
First impression: 8/10
Gameplay overall:
So after a while I got into a great squad containing Polish players. I don't know if it's the patch or the great people on that server - but we had the teamwork, the enemies had the teamwork too. So we had some great firefights.
Even though my squad ended up loosing in the end of the rounds, we had a great time.
And it continued like this for the rest of the match.
All of the players on the server were very up to be cooperative, that means it was alot of fun!
The tweaking of all the weapons are great! I, who love to play as support, am happy, because my weapon is nicer than it was before... well, you understand.
I'm a bit unsure about the teamplay, I only played on one server - so I haven't formed an opinion about teamplay yet, but what I have experianced now is great teamplay.
Gameplay: 9/10.
Overall points: 8/10
Here my review ends.
I want you all to notice that I have been nice with the 'points' because I really like this patch.
I'm sorry if I have spelled wrong at any place or if my grammar is bad - I'm from Sweden, so English is not my motherlanguage.
With kind regards,
Eric - Kixfox.
I'll leave a note:
Have fun and help BF2 to become a great teamplaying game!
Feel free to add me on Xfire anytime: Kixfox.
Not that I know why you would.
Now you can continue discuss the patch here on a matured level.
