    Filters.txt for All Seeing Eye (ASE) for v1.22 (and login/prefix workaround)

    All-Seeing Eye
    All Seeing Eye
    ASE

    Here is the filters.txt for v1.22 including Euro Force maps.

    Also, here is a thread with the prefix/login workaround:

    EDIT: Updated for v1.22 (March 28/06) and Euro Force

    The All Seeing Eye - server filter fix

    Dunno if anyone else had this problem, but for me, The All Seeing Eye never updated their version filter. As a result, I was only able to find 1.12 servers by using the "Other" tab. When 1.2 came out and they still didn't update the filter, you couldn't tell if the server you were joining was 1.12 or 1.2.

    Here's the fix:

    1. Find your All Seeing Eye folder; I believe the default is Program Files/The All-Seeing Eye.

    2. Find filters.txt and open it up

    3. Do a CTRL-F and find "Battlefield 2\Version"

    4. Insert the following lines after
    Code:
    Battlefield 2\Version
    Group: NUL
    Code:
    Battlefield 2\Version\1.3
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2878-710.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.22
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2720-552.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.21
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2716-548.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.2
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2696-528.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.12
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2554-356.0" remove
    5. The end result should look like this:

    Code:
    Battlefield 2\Version
    Group: NUL

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.3
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2878-710.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.22
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2720-552.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.21
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2716-548.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.2
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2696-528.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.12
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2554-356.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.03
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2551.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.02
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2484.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.01
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.1.2475.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\1.0
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    1 if gamever != "1.0.2442.0" remove

    Battlefield 2\Version\Other
    Group: BF2VER
    Mutex: BF2VER
    Flags: OTHER
    6. Save the file and re-open the All Seeing Eye.

    I hope this is useful to someone. If anyone has any issues with this fix, feel free to ask a question in this thread or shoot me a pm. I can always email out the updated filters.txt if anyone is unable to make the changes themselves.

      Nice work. I don't have this problem as I tend to play on EA UK or Multiplay clan servers, which were all updated by default. Will be useful for others though! =)

        Nice one! Works perfect for me :)

        Do you also by any chance have an ASE-fix for SF?

          Berrern it isn't that hard to work out if you open the filters.txt file and take a look in it. :-)

          Search for the

          Code:
          Battlefield 2\Mods\none
          section

          and add

          Code:
          Battlefield 2\Mods\Special Forces
          JoinTemplate: {EXEPATH} +restart 1 +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1 +joinServer {ip} +port {port} [ +password "{PASSWORD}"]
          Group: BF2MODS
          Mutex: BF2MODS
          1 if gamevariant ~!= "xpack" remove

          You can then add all the SF maps one by one if you like...

              Is there any way this thread can be more visible? Searching the forums for "all-seeing" returns no threads.

                I'll try adding more keywords and see what happens. Sometimes the search function of these forums isn't what it should be.

                  So why exactly didnt Yahoo buy ASE if it wasnt going to keep it updated? I dont blame the guys at UDPsoft for sellin out one bit.

                  Honestly if I hadnt bought my lifetime sub to it 3years ago I probably would quit using it. I miss the weekly and sometimes daily filters.txt updates

                    Does:

                    JoinTemplate: {EXEPATH} +restart 1 +joinServer {ip} +port {port} [ +password "{PASSWORD}"]

                    with PASSWORD changed to real player pass works or not?

                          We already have a ton o' stickies...people would just complain

                          We'll just keep bumping it randomly
