the air power had it too easy. I used to sit there in the cobra and just kill everything in sight even more so when i had a gunner. great for points but even i thought this is a bit off its too easy and nothings hurting me
Bang "wow that was close that tank shell just hit me" this should never had be thought i should have been saying crap that tank got me!
roll on the patch well the offical one anyway
Yeah you must have killed everything with your 1.67 KD and 0.56 KPM. Are you some kind of megalomaniac or are you just hallucinating?
Well iam looking foward to the patch, I usally pilot jets and Iam a skilled pilot. I normally get huge scores because its kinda easy to, plus camping the ship on wake or camping the chinese airbase. I cant wait to play it on the new patch, i've been waiting for them to make the game harder
Exactly the real pilots will adapt, and its not like you guys don't have a warning that someone is setting in the AA. It just keep the Base raping pilots away who got most of there kills that way while the old AA just wized right by them
Now you like has to got real skillz like ... now how to fly.
You had it easy, know it's gonna be a bit tougher. I'm sure you can deal with it.
If its so easy to be good how come there are so few good pilots and helo pairs? Yes it's "easy" to not die and get a fair score if you're in a plane but its very rare that a pilot get's a better score than a tanker. All the guys on the top of global scorelist are tankers on Karkand. How come?
If it's so easy to fly a helo how come the vast majority of gunners can't get above 3-4 K/D with the old patch?
I agree that the anti air was more or less useless against aircraft and could barely hit a helo. I just don't think its right that you can negate hours of training with point and click. I wish they would have made the gun on tunguska/linebacker/chinesethingy deal lots of damage and have some sort of lead(sp?) indicator. I also wish they would separate vehicle scores from infantry scores. That way people wouldn't cry as much they don't get a medal. I know I don't give a crap if a tanker gets a higher score when I'm on the ground. The whole point of the tank is that it's a force multiplyer why should I compare myself with that?

So why is it nearly everyone who posts on here trying to defend choppr wh*reing is a "skilled pilot"

The map is a meat grinder. If there were choppers on the map, my bet is they would trump the tankers.

Lets not forget that it was like that for all the tankers and infantery. You could train all you want, but one bomb-run and it was all over.
To be honest I don't want the airpower to go. But I like the fact that some areas will be dangerous to the pilots. A lot of AA emplacements do not really have a good field of view, so I'm hoping there will be enough space for pilots to chase eachother, but also enough space where only a skilled pilot comes out alive.
Have to wait and see, and today being feb14th, that won't be tonight. ;-)

There is no doubt about that. Karkand was a bad example. We have a tanker in our clan that is very good. I'm not sure what his KD is atm but it was around 12 last time I checked. He would get first place almost every map unless I and my gunner were flying the helo. The point was that I haven't seen any pub pilot top him consistently.

The bombs don't aim themselves and its not rare to see someone drop their stick and miss an entire base. I don't really have any problems with ground bombing. If you do then get out of a populated base, hide when the flag turns gray and be cautious where you use your vehicles. Bombing is like arty its predicable and pretty easy to avoid.

I don't think that the airpower will be gone even in this patch. It will be severely weakened but that isn't necessarily bad its the way its been nerfed that is bad. I do not like autoaim.
