Listen up soldiers:

We have some great news for you regarding the upcoming patch. 1.2 is in the final stages of its release cycle. This means you need to keep an eye on this web space for further info and a release date.

I want to extend a huge thanks to our community for helping us grasp the issues that have made your gameplay less than optimal at times. We are very happy with the improvements in this patch and sincerely hope you are all pleased with the work we’ve done.

Final stages, i.e. distributing all the server files and uploading the client patch.

Have you not noticed the millions of threads discussing this?

The one you currently see is unofficial. EA/DICE has not officially released it, and for all we know, this one may be a leaked, unfinalzed beta version of 1.2.

They are. People have gained the new ranks, weapons, and everything else.

So a few sites released it early. Also happened with the patch before SF.
