That's a lot of negitivity to be tossing around posts accusing people of being negitive for pointing out something potentially rather amusing.

Yeah, I think it would be a gut buster if this turned out to be a fraud or mistake. Not because it sucks for so many people, but because it would be a hell of a trick or "oops".

It's sounding more likely that this is the real deal, but offical word still hasn't been given and links to that patch have been removed from the offical site. Definatly enough to make me step back a bit.

theres a lot of locking and deleting of threads and posts related to 1.2 i wouldnt be surprised if the version we all downloaded is fake

If it IS a fake, I'm not sure how it "sucks" for anyone. It spiced up my evening with some new gameplay. I'm not going to be sad if I have to download another patch tomorrow.

That's hardly conclusive.

EA/DICE spent a huge majority of the time searching for and fixing the Nametag bug, as was stated, And that played a major role in its very long release.

Now after all that anticipation and waiting, to think that the bug is still there, now THAT just concludes, well, wow..

But yes, If it isn't the real patch, I never said it was a big deal. I havn't installed this one, and if I had, I would gladly revert back and reinstall.

I was just pointing out that it's not funny when loads of people get screwed, but I dear sir am not grumpy and have nothing against you. I know a handful of 64 player servers where I can find the bug if I go looking for it. People who don't play on the busiest of 64-player server will rarely see the problem.

Maybe they exceeded their bandwidth? :P

Bear in mind how many people will be trying to get that patch, on 'supposed' release day as well. If you've used Steam or even before when CS/TFC/DOD/HLDM updates were released, you'll recall even mighty Valve's download sites were overrun by the sheer volume of CS noobs.
