Instead of typing all this over again, I'm just going to copy and paste what I posted on another forum, edited for typos and clarity.
I was just playing as USMC on Sharqi, and I could hear the auto-switch noise (kind of like a beep) the second I spawned. Only thing was, I still spawned at the point I selected, and I had the USMC assault kit. Anyway, I look at the mini-map, and NONE of the marines show up on the radar, and ALL of the MEC players did. At first I just dismissed it as an extreme case of red tag/blue tag glitch and went about my way. Anyway, I was thinking since I had all the MEC players on radar (a "legitimate" map hack if you will), this would be the perfect time to try for my expert knife badge. I look at the radar and follow some MEC players as they capture the city entrance. I stabbed two of them before a marine started shooting at me. At first I was thinking "no big, it's just the red tag glitch, he'll catch on." Except he fired several bursts at me from close range (eventually killing me), meaning he obviously saw my uniform/skin and would have been able to tell I was on his team in spite of the glitch. Now the clincher, I have -8 teamwork points. It turns out that I actually was on the MEC team the whole time. Long story short, I spawned as MEC at a US control point with a US stock kit. Weird, huh?
