For some reason, I feel like my system isn't running at it's full capacity or something.
My system is:
AMD64 Athlon 3200+ (which I recently overclocked from 2Ghz to 2.4)
MSI K8N Neo4 mobo
PowerColor x800xl 256MB PCI-E
1GB PC3200 RAM (512 stick of Corsair ValueSelect and 512 stick of Rosewill)
and a ****ty PCI sound card that isn't cabable of running BF2 sound on it so I have Sound set to software, it definitely is an improvement over onboard sound though.
I ask because I've seen benchmarks on various sites with higher average FPS at higher resolutions. I have everything set to medium, no AA or AF, 1024x762, and I'm dipping under 60 (even under 50) fps more often than I'd like. Is my system really that crappy? Anyone have any input on what they run at with similar specs? Is there anything in particular that I could upgrade to really get a nice solid FPS?
EDIT: Oh jeez, I totally missed the link to a hardware forum, I apologize and would appreciate it if a mod could move this there, if that's where it should be.
