Tk's ... seriously ridiculous

As if getting maimed and blown up by my own team everytime I try to get near a jet, what happened earlier took the cake.

EA really .... REALLY .... needs to fix the TK punish when vehicles collide. Especially in this circumstance.

On Wake I'm on the Chinese team. The round starts and I'm not too terribly far from the jet. Nobody is headed towards it, so I run over and hop in as a couple guys are hopping into the attack chopper right there. Before I can move an inch, the chopper pilot manages to lift off, turn upside down and crash down on top of my jet. I, of course blow up and die, but I also get punished for two teamkills!! WTF EA!?!? I'm not even moving, I'm pointed down the runway, the chopper pilot is clearly out of control and doesn't know how to fly, yet I get punished twice. Unbelievable.

I love the game, but crap like this is so irritating.

Well, if you saw it coming, you could have jumped out of the plane right at the last second. You would still die, but you wouldn't get punished (in fact, you could punish THEM).

But I don't expect anyone to have reflexes fast enough to do that.

Yes, the TK system is f'ed up. Yes it needs to be overhauled.
Will it? No.

LOL ..... I wish I had time to hop out. I saw it out of the edge of the canopy right as it crashed down on top of me. Even if I could have jumped out, I wouldn't have punished anyhow. I typically don't.

Just annoys the hell out of me when someone who can't control a vehicle and runs into me, that the system figures that I am somehow responsible.

I know it will never be changed or fixed, but I can dream.

Its very frustrating...the problem is that no automated system in the gaming world (at least one made for a game) can figure out (instantly) who killed who when two aircraft collide....

Its just not possible....becaues if you are just hovering in a chopper and a plane hits you the system doesn't know who actually was going towards who....and who hit whom....

If that makes any sense...

A really funny story. I can see myself being there and laughing my arse off. But the punishment soon wipes the smile off.

Some of that might go away when the patch comes.

Right now any idiot that can find an airplane or helo thinks he can fly.

Once aircraft and helos become more vulnerable the people that can't fly won't be so anxious to get in an aircraft.


On the other hand. When the little pricks starting shooting at you because you stole "thier" airplane they will drain or blow up the aircraft.

It would seem if you are intentionally shooting a friendly vehicle that could be addressed and fixed. Preferably it would be the type of tk that would erase your freakin hard drive and send out an email to all your address book stating you are freakin moron with homosexual tendencies

Here is a pretty good story somewhat related. So Im at Dalian Plant having a pretty good round so far. I manage to get to the base closest to the carrier and take it over while in a FAV. Then I notice a Z-10 attach chopper heading towards the carrier, easy prey for the FAV. So I unload on that chopper while its trying to kill a blackhawk full of teammates. I successfully kill the attack chopper and the debris from the chopper destroys the friendly blawkhawk with everyone inside it. 6 tk punishes instanly!!!!! or 5 however much a blackhawk holds. So I have to work hard the rest of the round to work off my -12 teamwork score. :cussing:

Irritating indeed, especially the debri falling on someones head and they punish. The points don't mean a damn, but it says a lot about the supposed victim's mindset.
Veering the topic sideways a little. How many people have you had jump in front of a jet at once? Last week on Cleansweep, I jumped into an F18 at round start and 7 (yes 7!) people jumped in the way.. instant kick... :hmm:

This is similar to what happened to me tonight:

I was driving my APC along, and a teammate was coming at me in a buggy. I swerved away to get around him, and he swerved into me - destroying his buggy and netting me a teamkill and punish.

Frustrating indeed.

As for debris falling on people, I've had that happen and been punished. I've also fallen prey to the wonderful AA missles deciding to go after the friendly chopper even after I have a lock on the enemy chopper which is closer. Once again, instantly punished for multiple kills.

Like I said, I love the game, but damn if this stuff doesn't get under my skin at times. As if inadvertently killing a teammate and receiving negative points for it isn't bad enough, people decide to instantly punish. Even when you were trying to save their butt. Just can't win sometimes.
