Help!!!

I have an issue with BF2, I get the game to run but the terrain gets all choppy and then the screen freezes, sometimes I get black lines on screen and then half the screen will come up missing. This is a brand new system (4 days old) with the following specs. I have reflashed my Motherboard bios, video card bios, updated my chipset drivers all to the newest sets and still am having issues.

My systems is as follows.

Window XP Pro /SP2
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
2 Gig DDR400 3200 Ram
EVGA Geforce 7800GT 256mb ram
Asus 550watt True Power 2 (SLI approved)
80 gig SATA Harddrive


Any suggestions? I am leaning toward deffective video card.

OPPs forgot one other thing 3700+ Athlon64 processor.

This system should run the game with no issues at all from what I have read.

what video card drivers are you using? also check device manager and see if there is a yellow "!" next to any devices.

get a benchmark program lijke 3d mark or aquamark or try another game with good graphics to see if problems still exist.

if they do then most likely it is the card i had same problem when artifacts started showing up found out fan was dead so chip cooked.........
