Hyrda 70

I was playing some BF2 today and I got a kill with the "Hyrda 70". Anyone know what that is? I've searched around abit but haven't found anything directly pertaining to BF2.
In the over 300 hours I've played this game I don't think I've seen it pop up before. I took a screenshot of it too, just incase :)

there are random times when it will display the weapon that you killed someone with and not the vehicle (if you are in a vehicle)

I have seen 120mm gun, co axial MG, and I guess now hydra 70. I remember seeing one more...cant remember what it was though

KORD is another one. The MG on the MEC transport helo's.

there are random times when it will display the weapon that you killed someone with and not the vehicle (if you are in a vehicle)

Happened to me as well. People made a thread about this in like august last year, they thought it was like a wire to cut through peoples throats, but it was just the HMG on the Mec transport heli as well as the one on top of tanks and transport vehicles.

The really strange thing is I was in a jet, I don't remember seeing a chopper around anywhere.

ya, I guess originally that was how it was going to show the kills, but when you think about it, it saves time, space, and coding to just use one name for vehicles when makind a kill.

Yeah, KORD is the heavy .50 cal or 12.7 mm MG that's mounted on the MEC's transport choppers, jeeps and vodniks. IT's a soviet made MG. PLA is using variation of it, if not the same one.
