Just to make sure everyone understands.

I meant you could only spot ENEMY explosives.
That way you could show your teammate in an APC or something there is a mine around the corner.

Also, some people turn their 3D map off.( I hav heard this also turns off the skull that appears under your mini-map)

ya, turning the 3d map off also makes the red skulls and crossbones go bye bye. Very annoying since some people turn this off because of whatever reason, die because of your explosive that they didn't see because they turned off the 3d map, and still punish you

Horrible idea.

As if Engineers weren't neutered enough already, you want to add something that reveals their mine placements to the entire enemy team? No thanks. As it is, the mines contrast heavily with most terrains and stick so far up off of the ground that only an idiot would trip over them without seeing them 50m in advance.

Since i have my settings on low, i can see mines and c4 like they are dots on white paper, so it is not a problem for me. But still, the abillity to temporarily spot out enemy explosives, like spotting enemies, would be nice.

Makes you wish that your claymores and mines showed the red x-bones to the enemy only, then you'de get enemy kills instead of friendly ones...

i think people should be smart enough to recognize them on their own. just my $.02

i do agree that they are smart, they know where all the claymores & mines are placed and run into them more often than the enemy.
