Is it my system or my connection ?!

My specs are:

Pentium 2.4ghz
512mb RAM
geforce 6600 256mb
256 connection

I've set all video options to low and closed all background apps but i still experience lag while playing online.
The game runs just fine in single player.
I'd like to know which lvl my specs are on and what's causing the lag, my system or my connection ...

Does it tell you reccomended settings on the back of the case give the guy a break asshats you give total bf2 a bad name

well back to the question

your pc should be fine for low settings but if you want higher settings you should consider upgrading to 1gb of ram

firstly what pings are you getting

also open the toolbar using the botton on the left hand side of your keyboroard next to tab and type in renderer.drawfps 1

in the top left hand corner something like this should appear
45.2/12.0

the one on the left is your frame rate
40+ is generally ok

Thx for the info ...
i'm getting around 20 and 35 fps, and my ping is around 60 and 80 ...
I'm thinking about buying an extra 1G ram and changing my connection to one of 1 or 2Mbps ....
Are those changes enough or do i have more upgrades to do ?
and, will the extra ram improve my fps or that's up to my video card ?
