nice work, theres a couple other things you could have for qualification:

-controlled stalling
-aerial formation rearm/repair
-single bomb, bombing (not dropping both at the same time)

alot of that stuff was unnessecary like the roadkills, but i guess thats the point hugh.

Thats the Wake Island map, i havent downloaded the movie yet but from the pics it looks like its a modded version of it, becuase i think i see two Migs in the last pic :p

Well we wanted to make the test so that all the drills are either pass or fail. The aerobatics will really test out your maneuvering, roadkills for example is a good exercise for your low strafing technique. We also cover a lot more things in our class besides the drills you see. Here's the full writeup, ppl earn skill badges on our forums for passing each qualification school, we have Combat Medic, Airborne, Anti-Tank, Spec Ops, Sniper, Armor, Aviator, etc.

Welcome to the BF2C Aviator Pilot School
This class will test all the abilities that is required of a Fixed Wing pilot. You still need to qualify with your army's airforce to fly in battle. Passing the advanced test and obtaining the aviator pilot badge will help you develop the required skills. The test is HARD, so PRACTICE! It is recommended that you practice for a week prior to taking the test.

Tuesdays 3:30pm EST / 8:30pm GMT
Fridays 10:00pm EST

Any horseplay during class will get you booted from the server. Respect everyone else taking the class, respect the instructors. Radio silence while people are testing. This is not a session for you to practice, do that on your own time.

Advanced Test (Skill Badge)
Testing will be done on Kubra Dam 64, flying the MEC MiG29 and SU34.
You must complete all drills on the same day to pass.

Aerobatics
1. Broken Pipes- 2 attempts
There is a single unfinished pipeline leading away from the MEC main flag, towards the dam. If you take off from the MEC airstrip, and circle 270 degrees to the right, you can approach the opening of the broken pipe. NOTE: you will be flying directly over the arty as you approach. Your job is to fly through the pipe (both sections) and exit the other side.

2. Loop-the-Loop- 2 attempts
Simple enough, fly north towards the dam and fly through an opening (just to the left and above where the 2nd MEC helo sits on the 64 player map). Now loop twice. You want to maintain a steady loop and pass through the exact same opening.

3. Inverted Tunnel- 2 attempts
Approaching the dam from the north, roll inverted and fly through the right side tunnel at the bottom. Don't try this from the south, you will need/want the extra room to set up the run.

4. Roadkills- 2 attempts
4 people will line up on the MEC bomber runway, and it is your job to fly past them and kill them with your plane body or wing. No bullets, no bombs, hence "roadkills". The trick is to get low enough to kill them, and still have time to pull up and not hit the bomber hanger. You need to kill 3 out of 4.

5. Landing- 2 attempts
Mines are placed 100 meters out from the bomber hanger. It is your job to land the plane (approaching from the south, over the bomber hanger) and stop, before you hit those mines.

Bombing
6. Dive Bomb- 2 attempts
You have a single pass with the fighter to dive bomb a tank. You need to get the tank down to less than 3 bars (so that it will catch fire and explode).

7. Spread bomb- 1 attempt, 2 passes.
You will be flying the MEC SU-34 Bomber. You have two passes (2 loads of bombs) to destroy all three sections of the bridge leading to the US main (Kubra bridge).

Shooting
8. BlackHawk Down- 1 attempt
Dummy BlackHawk will be flying straight from Abandoned Huts to MEC Airfield. You must shoot down the BlackHawk with guns only before it reaches the airfield. (no missles)

9. Final Test- 1 attempt, 4minutes timer.
You will engage a Cobra, Linebacker, and Stinger around the Bridge, they will all be trying to shoot you down. The Linebacker will be moving back and forth on the bridge; Cobra will be flying within 200m near the bridge. You can take out the Linebacker and Cobra in any order you like, but you must leave the Stinger until you take out the other two. No reloading, if you miss your bombing run on the Linebacker, you must finish it off with the mini-guns.


Masters (Trainers Badge)
Masters qualification will focus on dogfighting and taking out targets. Once you obtain the trainers badge you can become an instructor.

1. Take out Mi28 Havoc, Tunguska, and IGLA around the Kubra Dam. (4minutes timer)
You will be flying the US F18 Fighter. This is similar to the last drill in Advanced, but this time it will be around the Kubra Dam, a well-covered terrain.

2. Take out SU34 Bomber, Mi28 Havoc, Tunguska, IGLA, Jeep, while being chased by the MiG. (no timer)
F18. You must take out all targets without being shot down by the MiG. If you can shoot down the MiG that's even better! Rearming is allowed, but the MiG can catch you during rearms.

Set up Q-spotting and Teamspeak push-to-talk on your joystick with the a Profiler program. The JoyToKey can emulate keystrokes as well as mouse clicks.

I have a Saitek Cyborg Evo, it's a really solid and comfortable joystick, I recommend it to a lot of ppl.

I would stay away from Logitechs, I've heard ppl complain they are flimsy and suffer from a lot of re-calibration problems.

That's a custom map one of our mappers did, it's called BF2C Wake Airshow. Basically it's an all out dogfight map, there's 3 carriers for each side, which spawns US/MEC/Chinese aircrafts. We just grab a bunch of ppl and get 20-30 planes up in the air to do some mad dogfighting =P

We are a large BF2C community/tournament (not clan). It is an army base tour of duty, we play in organized weekly 30vs30 battles. There are a lot of other functions as well such as pubbing on teamspeak, practices, qualification schools, dogfight day, snipers revenge, etc. It's a fun gaming community :)
