    Problem...

I have recently encountered a problem...
Whenever I try and load a server, at the point when it says "Join Game" in the lower right hand corner, the I'm kicked off the server and a message tells me:
Something about needing unmodified content to play, please revert to the official Battlefield 2 version. Anyone know what the problem is? Could it be one of my mods I downloaded?

Go into the mod manager and make sure that vanilla bf2 is selected? If that doesen't work you might have to reinstall teh game.

Reinstall 1.12, If problem persists reinstall Bf2. Many people have had this problem for unknows reasons and have not modified any data. The cause of this problem is unknown.

          Where is this mod manager?

I already re-installed the game, and I re-patched it. Shall I do it again? :P

            Re: Problem...

I had this happen one time, I tried another server and it worked. I got in and played. Sounds like a pairity error, everytings fine but the numbers dont add up because youve dropped a bit. Uninstall, defrag, virus scan, spyware scan, reinstall and download patch from another source. Reinstall patch and update Punkbuster (check to see if its up to date). Hummm, well you might not need everything I listed above but it wouldnt hurt, Its about 2:30 am and Im at work and mind is screaming sleep-sleep-sslleeeeeeppppp. I still try to help though...Red

Yes , and delete the EA games Directory ( asuming you have no other EA games installed ) from Program Files , I wud also traul your registry to for anything EA \ BF2 related delete it , restart your rig then re-install BF2.

                  No, No and NO again!!!
I ONLY get this sort of problem if I install something like the 64player SP maps etc.
I have found that you have to uninstall ANY non "normal" type stuff before playing online in a PB server, or you get told to eff off by PBuster.
If the game was working fine but now its being silly, then its because you've put something on/in it that PB has decided not to like very much. Get rid of THAT and PB will talk to you again.
                  Thats what i've found, anyway!!
Never had to do the whole uninstall/reinstall thing even when i've had error messages. Maybe i'm just lucky (wish I was in the game!).
