I hope you didn't buy anything yet. Your computer doesn't use 184-pin RAM, it uses DDR2 which is 240-pin. The two and not interchangable.

I hope for your sake you didn't follow Sackynut's advice. If you did you have just wasted your money.

oh ****. I am sooooo sorry, when I was looking at the ram types I selected DDR and not DDR2, though in the back of my mind i knew it was ddr2. crap. just let jimmy help you im depressed now -_-.

HAHAHHA i was just about to say, he has a newer P4 so it uses DDR2!!

If you are going to end up with 2gigs, make sure you try to see if your mobo allows 2x1024...instead of 4x512.

I'm almost certain it CAN, but ask Dell to make sure. You can find some really good deals on 2x1024 DDR2 at NewEgg or Fry's.
