    Joining Server Crash

    First off.. my system:
    P4 3.0 @ 3.4
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
    SB Audigy 2 ZS

I bought BF2 a few days ago. Installed it, it ran fine. I then went and downloaded the patch, installed it... and it crashed to the desktop after the splash screen. Updating my soundcard drivers fixed that, and I have been playing online for a few days.

Last night I defragged my HD, and uninstalled some old programs and games. Upon trying to play BF2 this morning, it would crash to the desktop EVERY time I try and join a multiplayer server. It just said "Joining Server..." then it crashes. I tried upgrading from catalyst 6.1 to 6.2 that were released a few days back.. didn't help.

To clarify... I can play single player fine, and I can create my own local servers... but it crashes when trying to join a multiplayer game.

    Thanks for any help.

Try update Punkbuster . Since you have just installed the game, PB needs to be updated. www.evenbalance.com
