BF2 crashes when I tell it to start

I click on the desktop shortcut, and then the screen flashes black for half of a second, and then I'm back to my desktop...

P4 2.8
Asus P4P800 SE
768MB ram
Asus 6600

Mind you, this is the demo I'm trying to play here. I got it working Friday night, then I tried to launch it today, but the same thing happened. I reformatted this afternoon, just for the hell of it, redownloaded the BF2 Demo, and I get the same flash of black for a half of a second.

Help, please.

if youve got TFT check if the bf2 refresh rate is not higher than your TFT display supports. also update your graphics card drivers.

No, I have a CRT.

Uh, and I just reformatted, so I do have the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com .

This time when I install the demo, I'm just going to tell it to install the minimum drivers that come with it.

Thats what happened to me, when the Nvidia driver wasn't installed....just dry different drivers...even try to use old ones...its worked before...

Could you give me a website where I could download some older drivers?
