Please help. VOIP not working

Can someone please help. My microphone works with all other programs, including TS and Ventrillo. I have the VOIP box ENABLED, but when I go to test the microphone, there is no sound. I have made sure that it is not muted, and it definitely is not under XP's control panel.

Please explain this, I install vanilla BF2 without patches. I then test the VOip and the microphone works. As in, when I go to TEST MICROPHONE, it works. I then install the 1.12 patch and I get nothing. It won't work anymore; the only thing different is the patch.

I have run the VOIP SETUP.exe, but still nothing.

Please help!

hmmm
i do not get any sound or meter reading on my own while in setup (even when testing)
but it does work in game

make sure you have not remapped the keys
