    My rig is as follows..

    Pentium 4
    3.0mhz proicessor
    1.5g DDR SDRAM
    Geforce 6800 GT

    Can you please state what my setting should be and why.

        id go for medium and 4x AA (1024* resolution). you can ofc raise some settings to high but i prefer 60+ fps.

            Yeah, Hilarious. I was in a rush and made a typo. Brilliant.

            Thanks a lot to all the chaps who posted. Atm I've only been able to run everything on low but the new card will sort that.

              new card? 6800 should be ample if im not mistaken (im picking one up soon maybe its your ddr sdram (ddr and sdram are different formats the latter being a dinosaur [i have 128mb in my old pIII])

              your processor seems good so you may just be lacking in the memory department typically 1 gig is recommended but 1.5-2 should solve all problems

              correct me if i am wrong

                That rig should run BF2 @ 1280x1024 all dets high & aa @ 2x easily.

                If it dont you got more problems than a new gfx card is gonna fix.
