If you leave then come back you still get your points, but if you leave mid-round, you lose any points you earned and any awards you earned aswell.

Sorry I just realised that was kind of unclear, if you leave in the middle of the round and dont log on again, you lose anything you got in that round.
If you leave (say you were disconnected or whatever) and you comeback in before another round/map loads then your score will still be there.

I've tested this multiple times. I've got all points and all awards even when I left in the middle of the round. So. . .NO, you don't have to stick around to get points/awards.

Yeah, I think Leviathan is right. I've also left in the middle of a round with some points, and I've still got them.

I am unable to Alt+Tab out of Battlefield 2 *shakes fist at SLi*

So when I get a buntch of points in game and need to log out real quick to take care of something, I immediately log back into the game and join the server I was on and my points are still there. So far this has worked over a dozen times for me.

You get the pts if u leave midway.

I'm sure if it wasn't like that, you would hear a post like "Omg! Some jerk tked everyone 50 times and his pts didnt change when i checked his stats"

You still get the points even if you're kicked/banned from the server. It just takes until the end of the round for the server to send your scores to the stats server.

me too. As long as you were in the server more than 5 minutes (not sure of exact number) it counts.

I will also say that you do not have to be present at the end of the round for your points and awards to be given.

If the server CRASHES though...that's another story.
