ok i am totally confused. my dad is 1 rank ahead of me in the game. he has 8 guns unlocked and i only have 6. wats the deal?

If you have SF installed, and you go up a rank. You receive 2 unlocks. Will explain why he has 2 more unlocks than you.

He has more points than you. He has probably reached that rank with a that certain amount of points so he gets an unlock. If he has special forces, he gets another unlock too :)

If he has 20 000 points or more, and also has all his basic badges, then he goes up two ranks instead of one, and earns two unlocks.
Recently, I randomly received 2 unlocks out of nowhere and I now have every gun unlocked except the SCAR-L and the Mp-7, and I only have around 16000 points. Unfortunately, it's hard to help you without knowing what rank you are :P

most likely that he has SF installed. With each promotion, he will have 2 unlocks. Hope that helps.

You are not giving us enough info so we can answer you. My guess is he's got more points and therefore a rank ahead of you, and of course more unlocks. Nothing to be confused about kid.

Battlefield 2 hands out 1 unlock every rank from Lance Corporal to First Sargeant.
if you have Special Forces, you receive an extra unlock from Sargeant and up (with the next patch, it will also start from Lance Corporal, due to the 2 new weapons.)
and no, having all the badges does not advance you 2 ranks, it just gives you a special rank. still only 1 unlock, but a "higher" rank than you would recieve without the badges.
