Ways to optimize and get better settings

Alright so i want to try to crank up one or two more settings in bf2, so can you guys give me some ideas for optimizing my computer (ie partitioning, pagefile, overclocking), preferably stuff that doesn't require $$ to do. Another question...Does making a seperate partition for bf2 make a big diffence in performance, or just in load times?

thanks guys, one more question that that doesn't really cover. I have an old hard drive thats formatted for windows 98 (fat32 i think). I would like to start using it for backup/os partitioning, but it wouldn't format when i tried to. is there somthing special i have to do?

Download Partition Magic, hook your hd up, boot it. Run the program. Partition/format it.

          Cheers
