SLOW LOAD TIMES AFTER BF2 sf instlled

Hi all here is my prob
they game will not launch after sf was installed..

I get to the 62% mark where it says optimizing shaders
geometries on the bottom and sits at 62% never will get pass this point..

So i read here for a while and did some stuff
reinstalled drivers
checked setting on my MB for the correct agp size..
Unistalled Sf still have the prob with BF2 stand alone

system specs
p4 3.0
2gig ddr 400
WD 120 sata drive 100GIG free
Gfroce 6800 oc no mods 8.1.9.8 drivers
BullCrap MB intel >>>>ya i know but what can i do

If any one could help me out i would be very happy
have not played in months but just got the Sf today and really want to play..

Oh forgot to say this problem happens in 1 player or online..

Have you tried installing the 1.12 patch over SF?

dude, i had the same problem for a long time, when i installed sf it was slow and it took nearly twice as long to load bf2, i still havent figured it out, it kinda fixed itself

Hi there
yes i have installed the 1.12 and still had the same problem..

So i uninstalled Sf again..

Ran a program called cleanup

And then rebooted and ran BF2 and it works now..

I will try to reinstall sf when i get home to see what happens

Ok all i have tried the dfrag..

reinstall sf and still back to the lock up at 62%

this is starting to make me crazy i just want to play this dran game..

LMAO

any other ideas
