    1.5gig ram

    But i need advice on a graphics card i will spend about anything from £100 - 150.

      AGP= 7800GS

      PCIe16= 7800GT

      Your specs will be fine. I run a 3400+ A64 Sckt754 with an AGP X800 Pro and 1 gig PC3200 and it runs real well, and with either of those two cards i mentioned plus another 512mb RAM you should be doing qiute well.

      On a side note, its interesting to see that some people are upgrading their specs to match what my PC is, and i built mine 1.5 years ago. Just interesting to me I guess.

        Remember, running 1.5 gigs will defeat dual channel. I'd just run with 2 sticks for max performance.

          Actually you can run dual channel with 1.5gb. Two sticks of 512mb and 2 sticks of 256mb....

          The 6600gt is a very good price/performance card as well if you dont have enough money for the 7800/6800 series...

            I'd recommend the XFX 6800GS. It runs about US$215. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

              Thks for the reply's the 6600GT looks good for the price but is there a big difference in performance between the 6600GT 256 and the 6800 GS 256 if not i go for the 6600 but if there is more perfromance on the 6800 i try to save up more money
