Any reliable info about unlocks anywhere?

Isn't there any reliable information anywhere about unlocks and what you get when and how to get second tier, etc etc etc?

Surely it's not that big of a secret and someone, somewhere can say, you get second at this rank, you can get SF weapons by levelling to this, etc?

I want to know when unlocks become available, specifically, second tier original BF2 unlocks and SF unlocks? What rank?

In otherwords, how do you obtain the G36E (i've already got the L85A1).

Also, how do you obtain the F2000 (i've already got the G3).

For those two you ask you need to have special forces installed and play on it for a few mins.

You will attain SF unlocks at sergeant. But there are two free unlocks about so you can get them both now. But you need the expansion to get them.


And you will need the first unlock for the certain kit before you can unlock the SF unlock. (2nd tier)

Thanks, but alas, no matter how many different servers I try, SF won't work for me. The servers keep saying they only accept unmodified versions! I don't have a modified version! I'm running BF2 1.12 with SF installed, period!!!

That's kind of odd. Only thing I can think of is a complete uninstall - reinstall.

Make sure you install the 1.12 patch again after installing SF.

Yep you're probably right, that's likely the problem.

I had installed it before, but I reinstalled it and yes, it works now! Thanks folks!
