Get another 512MB of ram and a new vid card. 6600 GT's are cheap and work nice with BF2. A 6800 GT if you can afford one.

I had a PCI 9250, it didnt run BF2. AGP 9200s (I think) can run it if you change the AGP speed or something but thatd be like 20fps on low graphics. Go for a higher video card.

Try to get about 1gig of ram or higher, and if possible get the 6800GS, if that's too far out of reach, get the 6600GT, it'll play bf2 mid-high settings.

keep in mind when looking for a video card that you need AGP

yeah, a 6800 GS would be best for you i think if you can afford it anyway.

I had an agp 9200 SE, and if you set the agp bus speed to x4, then you can play on low with 30-40 fps, very good, but looks like bf1942......anyways RAM and a new video card are defenantly a good idea (bf2 is a pig when it comes to RAM). Maybe in the future it you run into some money you could upgrade you processor too....but should be alright for bf2

my second rig gets around 30-50FPS depending on the map.

                          P4 2.26ghz
                          1024MB PC2100 ram
                          Radeon 9550 128MB
                          Windows XP

Ram is relatively cheap these days, especially for the older sticks like PC2100/2700. An AGP Radeon 9550 goes for about $50.

Go for AMD chips, they are far better for gaming and can get very very cheap and OC alot better (more value for money).
