Second Tier Weapon Unlocks?

Just hit Staff Sergeant and despite having both the G3 and L85A1, can't unlock either one of the second tier unlocks for the classes?

Could someone tip me off as to the level required for that? It's rather disappointing to say the least.

I was also hoping to have unlocked one of the SF weapons as well if not either of the above, but alas, that's not an option either, despite spending 30 bucks on it and levelling up as well.

Besides, from what I can tell, this guy (http://www.bf2player.com/index.php?p...362&show=award) has many unlocks despite being only one rank higher than me?

Have you been promoted ingame yet?
Hve you received the promotion in BFHQ?
If this happened in the last few hours you may need to wait, there are high loads on the EA stats servers recently inpreparation for the upcoming patch.
Do you have the original unlocks already unlocked for the classes you want the 2nd tier unlocks for? (example, you must have the L85 unlocked if you want the G36E)

Also, have you played on SF maps? I believe playing a round is required as well

Have not played on SF yet, although I have been promoted, and none of the second tier are available, despite me already having the G3 and L85A1.

I'll try the SF to see what happens with those weapons, but I wish I knew why the flash bang and G36E aren't available yet???

After you play SF you will get one extra unlock slot for each rank starting with Sergeant which is why the player you posted can have so many unlocks.
You probably need to play SF at least once to have access to the SF weapons as well.
