BF2 Server Signatures... Would you use one?

I've been looking for a way to help advertise the [TW] community and I thought of maybe server signatures. I don't know if this is already being done or not but I haven't seen any.

I thought of this when looking at someones player statistics in their signature. Know PHP and enough graphics editing to get by I decided to take on the challenge.

Anyway, what do you guys think? There is currently one active in my signature. Would you use one if it was provided as a free service?

I'm open to suggestions on this. This is the first time I've connected to a UDP port via PHP and done anything with the output. There are a lot more options I can throw on an image like this.

I'd be interested to know if a particular player's online status could be incorporated into a sig, and how it's done. Lot's of sites offer sigs, but none show online / offline, map, and IP that you're playing on.......

I could add something like that to the bottom of one of the signatures I made. My main concern was the size of the signature. I hate oversized signature images and I don't have very much graphics editting experience.

If someone was interested in making the images I could probably make the PHP and get everything running together.

Right now its the graphics work that is holding me back. I'll need to do a little research to find out where to connect to for player information.

Yes, i'm familiar with that. What I was saying was, that it would be nice if there was a way to incorporate online / offline status within some of the popular sigs out there, like B2FS, etc. All the stats, medals, + shows where the player is. Very useful, and you wouldn't have to have 2 different sigs to get the info, or to click and join the player.

I have seen a few tutorials on it the main thing is creating a PHP function to do it all quickly and efficiently. All this is currently hosted on my home server and I have a bandwidth limit of 30 burstable gb. My ISP phones me when I hit 70 and a lot of times these kind of images really slow my server down.

If it was just a matter of hosting a few server signatures I'm sure I could get some unlimited free hosting from a few friends who have server in The Planets datacenter.
