Sweet that means Master Sergeant must of been bumped down too ^_^. So I could actually get the p90 and awp when it comes out since I stupidly unlocked engy unlock+mp7 when the two free unlocks popped up.

Will literally ALL of the rank requirements decrease? Or just the hight ranks? I'm hoping that I will at leat get first sgt after teh patch (at around 15000 pts right now)

they all will decrease, but I only care about the higher ups, soon i'll just have a couple of grand to get to 2nd Lt. after the patch

Thats silly, so after you get to the top then what? Some people are almost there now. Its starting to become pointless to play the game, all you have to do is wait around and EA will "give" you everything thats available. I still think that leaving the point system the way it is but adding the points the winning team wins by to thier global score would be better. I know EA has already decided to do it differently but Im begining to think wtf. They do almost as much to confuse a person as to help. . . . . .Red

a lot of people are going to jump 4 ranks or so again...last time they messed with the ranks I did...i'll prob maybe just get 2nd lt and nothing more, if Lt at all...but...for those lower ranks, gunna see a lot of new people with shinny new ranks lol

Dont care for ranks. Ive been gunnery sgt now for 4 months. I dont plan on gaining rank.

well IMO when I got to 50K I was more ****ed than happy because 2nd Lt. is freaking 150K away, that is ridiculous, for me it would've been 660+ days and that's not good, so I think it's a very good thing that they are lowering the point reqs and I really don't give a sh!t about being on top or the players on top I just don't want to wait 2 years for an unlock

I dont see how gettting commander position will change. Before if you have 3 people of the same rank going for it, the highest global gets it. Now theres going to be more clarity with more of a spread in ranks.

I think what they're doing is good. There's no problem in adjusting the ranks when you add 10 new ones. It's much better *knowing* that the ranks are obtainable. Think about how the mind works for a second. If you know you're close to a promotion, you will play your heart out to get it. If you see that the next promotion is 150K points away, you bet your ass you're going to find something else to do.

By adjusting the ranks so every 15-30K points, you get promoted, this allows EVERYONE to be able to work towards *something* that is DEFINITELY obtainable. During the days I was at a lower rank, it was fun playing, knowing that soon I'd be promoted. Once I hit 20K and saw my next promotion was 30K away, it became a little more boring to play. Now that I'm closer to my promotion, it's becoming quite fun agian.

In all honesty, Rank doesn't mean anything, to a certain extent. However, what it does do is keep people playing the game. It becomes a lot more fun playing for something, rather than playing for nothing.
