The other day playign I witnessed a guy able to jump across the playfield..staying prone whole time.
Now I know I can do this if in prone and spring up with jump, but how the hell do you keep this going so perfect??
He was damn nearly untouchable, is this gonna be adressed in the patch?

Download fraps, go find this sunuvabish, ready your printscreen key, then record and take pictures so you can shut this bastard down for good. That just makes me mad to hear that. I don't mind getting n00b ejected from my jet by a teammate, but blatantly cheating and exploiting the game just crosses the line.

I think it's possible with the G15 keyboard.

You can make macros with the Saitek Gameers keyboard aswell.

Not quite, there are still legitimate non-cheat programs you can use to program macros. Can't think of any off the top of my head (perhaps for the better) but I know they exist.

I think (and hope and pray) that HicRic is correct, the patch will stop this. As far as I'm aware the macros just perform keystrokes faster than manually typing them. The patch will make it unable to exploit dolphin diving no matter what way you enter the keystrokes.

Dolphin diving is common on servers expressly banning it, so what does that tell you about people joining those servers then doing it anyway?

Its not really cheating and I am sure he is just fast or has a good keyboard for it but it will certainly be addressed in 1/2. Just look at the video of it out now.

Yes, it really is cheating. You can be hardware banned for it.

He mentioned that this guy was DDing all the way across the map. Sustained DDing for that long would work even the biggest geek's fingers to the bone without the use of marcos. Macro use is cheating.
End of story.

Nobody's ever been banned or had stats reset for dolphin diving.... It's no more illegal than bunnyhopping or using the noobtube like an asshat. Lame, yes. EA going after individual players for it, no. There's no way to prove anyone's using a G15 or other programmable controller.
