Possible that EA is one step closer to finishing 1.2 patch?

Well, since the third party developers are starting to be able to update(except Bf2s because they are always slow), I have guessed that EA seems to have stopped messing around with the ranking system. They are supposedly one step closer to finishing the new patch. I am hoping so. Anyways, thats what I think. My very few cents. Patch is supposedly coming out 2/14/06 - 2/28/06 since they said the latter half of February.

WEll because EA loves the people who puts money in their wallets they are giving us the 1.2 patch as a valentines gift, also to get everyone away from their gfs/wives

I feel you.. I'm hoping too that the patch comes out on valentines so i can sink into the artificial world of BF2 and i dont have to cry myself to sleep waiting for that valentines day greetings card that will never come... :)

A post yesterday said that the version number of the game they are playing at EAs test servers hasn't changed in almost a week and also on EAs forums they said earlier (in a 1.2 unrelated thread) that after any changes in the patch build they have to test the game for about two weeks before release so 14th is a very possible release date indeed.

As NoseKi||s said...the latest version of the patch (1.1.2696-528.0) changed Feb 4th and hasn't budged since while up to that there was a new version every 2 days or so.

if it still hasn't changed in at least a week, then, it's done. it's coming out the following week... just like the two last patches.
