Armed Assault is the sequel to Operation Flashpoint, its being developed by the same people (BIS), and published by a Czech company.

Armed Assault is not called Operation Flashpoint 2 because it's not published by Codemasters who have the name copywrited.

Codemasters have another company developing OFP2 (but its not BIS so the game will probably not be the same as OFP, only share the name)


Looks quite good, i am definately looking forward to this game.

It looks pretty good, but with the huge popularity of BF2, I guess alot of companies are going to try squeeze in on it, so there probably will be a huge explosion of Massive multiplayer war games like BF2.

i still have OFP and like it better than BFII, as just capping flags will get old and people like me who want more will someday move on. I was waiting for an update for over 2 years.

And plus. . .Its a simulator...on...and Xbox. . I don't see how it could be the same at all on Xbox.
