    performance decrease/ crashes

    Hi there,

    My setup is as follows

    AMD 64 3500 Newcastle w/Artic Cooling Freezer 64 OC'd to 2.4ghz
    4X512 PC3200 running in DC
    x800xt w/ Artic Cooling Heatsink & Fan OC'd to PE speeds (520/560)
    MSI Neo2 Platinum MOBO
    Seagate 120GB HD
    AC97 Realtek 5.1

    WinXP Pro All updates

    Running Omega Drivers 3.8.205

Recently my BF2 performance has been going steadily downhill and my fps is now in the low 20s and low 30s most of the time. Im running everything medium bar effects, view distance 100% filtering 100% and AA 2X. My performance used to be much better and I can't seem to isolate whats causing it. So far i have tried the following:

    Downloaded PB update
    Tried pb_sleep 500
Ran All low settings (barely any improvement)
Increased AGP aperture size to 256
    Disabled Fastwrites
Changed the name of the BF2 shortcut
Tried to increase the OC - this just caused crashing
    Defragged
    Spyware + AV Scan
    Free'd up HD space

Can anybody shed any light as to what might be wrong or what I can try as im pretty sure my system should be able to handle BF2 with a constantly playable fps. Any help appreciated
