    1942 map ported to bf2

While wake island was my favourite. I was deadly with the battleship.
omaha beach was awesome. but the map i would really love to try. I forget the name. but basically there was an island which was circlular, with a lake in the center. 2 carriers, 1 each.

Hehe, that's not a lake my friend, that's the rest of the ocean :P The only circular island with a "lake" is Midway :) But I trust you know what map you wanted.

I wish they would release a 1942 booster with all the pacific maps again.

I MISS them so much. The M1 garand assault class.

I would love to see a map made of the Bastogne area, full infantry map, with arty of course. Would be awsome to storm Foy (sp?) as modern day soldiers, hehe.

The BF42 maps ruled. They also had more variety than BF2 maps, you gotta give them that. From maps with almost 100% armor fighting (El Alamein) to urban battles (Berlin) to semi-open city areas with all sorts of forces (Market Garden), to naval invasions (Omaha)... great variety.

I preferred the BF42 wake island though. There, the ground troops could actually do something vs. the aircraft. In Wake 2007, the ground-based AA is useless anyway, and the aerial battle is only up to the pilots themselves.

I liked the pacific maps except Iwo Jima. I play(ed) on Ghetto Berlin server a lot.

If there was time I'd recreate all the bf maps to some degree, all in all there are classics that should be re-made, please, thankyou :)

Omaha Beach was AWESOME. Anyone remeber the legendary (in my opinion) Wagoogees, now succeeded by the joke server FMG. I played on Wagoogees all the time. Best time in FPS i have had.
