    The "Teen" rating.

This would give you (EA games) the oppurtunity to release new content for hefty fees. Specifically, content designed to cater to older gamers. You know, the ones who dont need their parents to drive them to best buy. The ones with the money and desire to fill the emptiness where our souls once were with mindless entertainment to quiet the anguish of impending hair loss.

Now, I havent seen statistics from any source I would call reputable, but I do believe we are a significant part of your consumer demographic. You owe us. You cant buy us off with cop outs like playboy mansion for ps2, we want the BF2 experience we deserve.

What I want to see is a booster pack enabling all the things we should have gotten but didnt. I want blood instead of grey puffs. I dont mean some cheesy red cloud that animates when I hit a guy, I want a hole in his chest leaking into his uniform and pooling at his feet. I want bone fragments, dismemberment, and I want to see my knife soiled when I stab someone. Instead of the seemingly unstrained cries for medics, I should hear dying people screaming and moaning. All of this should be enabled client side, so it would work on any server.

I want age verification. Players should have the option of entering their drivers license number with their profile. Servers could filter the profiles they allow to join to prevent anyone under a certain age from playing. EA Games could deactivate the cd key of anyone violating the system, thus forcing them to buy another copy of the game. Or better, go RIAA style and file multimillion dollar lawsuits against the middle class single parent families of gamers.

In short - More blood, Less kids = Better game for us = More money for you.

I guess I kinda see your point...but what is any of this offering to the game? Frankly, I am too busy while playing to pay attention to blood, screams, etc. The age verification thing is nice, but it would be nigh impossible. You would have to tap in to all 50 states DMV's, and that wouldn't even cover people outside of the US. It's simply not feasible. You're best bet would be to simply ask their age, but everyone under 18 would just lie about it.

In the future I wouldn't mind see something like this, but it's not gonna happen in 2006.

blood would be a very welcome addition in the game, everything else you mentioned would cost too much to implement in-game at this point in time, but for a war game where get shot, stabbed, blown-up, and run over, a little blood would have been very nice

It would have also killed their rating and lowered their potential market. In America it's okay to shoot people, blow them up, etc....provided you don't actually see any blood.

Fear is the best game I've seen in awhile to incorporate a couple of ideas you touched on. The gore side of it, although gruesome and inappropriate, is very enertaining sometimes.

              I want BF2 to be SoF2 gore style :)

Ah, the joy of using shotguns :p

(For anyone never played the game, you can blow someones head clean off....did I say clean? It gets really messy .

I was more partial to the rifles, taking chunks out of the skull instead of removing it entirely. Ive often wondered if there is a SOF3 in the works, and what it would look like.

I know exactly what you mean about the gore and would love to see more of it. But as for real life if someone does get shot ie. with an ak or m16 in the chest or stomach you dont see blood right away, it is kind of a grey puff then blood afterwards on the ground. Now if its in the face or they get blown away by c4 then hell ya body parts and limbs by all means!

But the way things are going right now especially with the language filters, Id be suprised to see any of that in the game in the future. You can get kicked for saying "darnit". The panzies of BF2 cant handle a little foul language let alone some major gore action lol.

They definitely need to make BF2 rated M, and get all the stupid kids out of here.

i agree..it definately needs more gore..plus more diversity/death animations...the ragdoll sortof takes away from the cool death scenes...and i think when ppl are lying on the ground..they should be wearing their uniform/helmet/equipment so it looks more realistic..

I control my language because I cant be sure no children are present. Not for the little bastards playing the game, just in case some little munchkin glances at the computer screen and learns some new words. If it were a mature server, I might have some things to say.

Yes. Knives need an alt fire functionality, in which you could use the tip like a pencil and carve your name into whoever you killed. Whatever you write on them would stay for the rest of the round, so everyone can see it.

Just remove the whiny children .... and whiny adults for that matter .... and I would be perfectly happy.

I can live with or without the blood and gore. I kill someone in game and I'm off to find the next victim. I'm not hanging around watching for them to bleed to death.

I have FEAR and SOF2 for all my gory needs. As for SOF3 ... I don't believe anything is in the works. Quite a shame too.

The reason for those GAY filters in the game BECAUSE it is rated as TEEN...
So any swearing would result a kick or a ban......

Honestly, EA should consider remove the Teeen category,

See how GTA:SA, even it is rated as mature, kids still buy it....

Those rating is pretty much useless
