Gold medal hack?

Scenario: Last night while playing on our ranked clan server this guy is playing really well. No big deal, there are lots of great players out there, so no one really pays attention to him. The round ends. We were playing Wake 2007. The scores pop up and the top two players, one from each team are myself with 102 and one of my fellow clan mate with 102. I think I had a higher TS and Kill ratio, but we tied for the top score anyway. The next closest player has a score of 88 and is on the losing team. HE GOT THE GOLD MEDAL!!!

This happened in two different rounds one two different maps with the same guy. Can someone tell me how it's possible to get the gold medal without having the higest round score? Yes yes, I am also taking into account the commander score, but his team lost both times and he was not commander anyway. So no double. Plus I am smart enough to read the numbers on the screen.

I am just curious if anyone has seen this or could tell me how it happened. I think his name was Divx Hobo or something like that.

When it shows the top 3 places on the left side in order - scores are not shown there, only partial like team pts or kit pts or something.

You would need to pay attention when it shows both teams side by side. Look at the #1 on your side and the #1 on the other side, and confirm the pts there. If this is the screen you are referring to - then by all means - GET A SCREEN SHOT

No. Because I am an idiot and did not think to do it. I'm going to watch for this and if it happens again, will grab the screenshot. Maybe tonight if the guy is around.

Yeah, I figured we got the gold because of the other screen. That's how I knew he had 88 vs. our 102 respectively. Then when the medal screen popped up and he was at the top, we were all trying to figure out what was going on.

yeah grab one, cause I've never seen a situation like the one you're describing, I've come into 1st place with the same score as one guy on the opposite team once and he had more deaths and less kills than I did, but he had a higher TS, he got the gold

The thing is, I understand how the screens work. The round ends, the player list pops up and you can see both sides. The scores are right there with the commander scores at the bottom. Then the medal screen comes up. I had 102 with a team score of 56. My clan mate had 102 with a team score of 13 and he was the commander on our side. The Divx Hobo guy had a score of 88 and I don't remember his team score. But his score was 88 and he was on the oppostie side.

I just find it interesting. I wish I could remember how he had his name so I could look him up and see his stats.

Yea I was just gonna suggest looking up his name cause that would be the test.If he had a gold for every round or whatever then yea he is hacking else it might be a bug..

I think i've seen something like this happen, also.

Most likely he was the commander at the end of the round. If there is no commander, and you are on the winning team and you rack up a high score, you can apply to be commander just before the round is over and get some extra points out of the deal.

but the point of this was that the other guy with the gold was on the losing team with 88 points and got the gold when he was on winning team and had 102 points and didnt get the gold. go back and re-read the post

you cannot just jump into commander at the last second and get double points, you have to be commander for a certain amount of time IAR

That looks like the name I saw last night. I have to go to work, I will look at it in a bit. I do think it's odd he has 300 hours and his stats are kinda skewed.
