    server.zip vs. client.zip

what is the difference between these, and which would I use to edit a map? Can i use them to edit the premade maps, ie Karkland, Wake? Sorry for the noob questions, I'm trying to learn the editor.

I believe you need to edit both. The server.zip contains all the "rules" of the map that the server will utilize and the client.zip all the textures and stuff like that that the player will see.

You are not supposed to be able to edit maps that you download unless the editor file is provided with it.
