so me and my friend just recently got BF2, and i personaly love it! but ne ways we cant see the same servers that the other sees! and i seem to have a lot more srevers on my list. but we want to play together but we try via x-fire and ne other way but it doesnt seem to work. so does ne one have the same problem or have a solution for this?
Next are you on the same internet provider?
Do you have the same speed Connection?
How far apart do you live?
Have you tried having one find the server you want to play on and the other just typing in the IP address?

Xfire works . Great way to join friends in game. Also I am easy to find. I can be found in the games with the most players and the lowest ping. X fire also keeps track of your favorite servers. Good Luck

you could both try uninstalling your games, installing and then both update to the 1.2v. or another reason could be the server filters. just uncheck all of them or both have the same ones checked. its got an option to find only same version games!
