picked up a new sniper riffle??????????

i was playing on joltuk number1 last night with 4 clan m8 in a squad when this happend...........

clan leader kills a sniper and picks up his kit,only to find a strange new crosshair (the riffle was bolt action)only way i can decribe this is the cross hair looked like this. <<T>> it was black and looked very nice i followed him so i could get it after he got killed but i only hade it for about 3 seconds before i got killed by arty,so i couldnt take a screen.as we speak various clan m8 are on the server now hunting this weapon.and im waiting for a screenshot.

as i dont no anything about the new bolt action riffle i would appriciate anyone who has tested the new patch(if any) to explain what the crosshair looks like.

it may be some kind of custom thing a player did to his files,but i thought that if the did change there files pb would notice.

very strange indeed,would like to coment on it further but untill i find it again i cant.

all i ask is if you kill a sniper check his kit you may stumble across it like i did.

and for all the flamers out there im not making it up just for the sake of it.
i was just curious as to how some new sniper weapon came out of the blue when the patch aint out yet.

Sound like the new AWP sniper unlock from the patch. Maybe he was a beta tester.

agh thats what i thought it could be,didnt no they could test it on a ranked server though from the 3 secs i had it,it look nice crosshair is sweet.

No, it obviously isn't the new sniper rifle.... You can't just import custom content into a ranked server. Every client has to have the same files, so even if this guy is a beta tester, the new stuff only works on the beta servers of the same version. So it has to be one of the existing rifles. Also customized graphics would be only visible to the player himself. So it has to be an existing rifle.

i agree with the part about all players files are the same & beta testers can only test in a beta server.

but some how i find a new bolt action riffle with some funky crosshair.
ive tryed all the sniper weapons and there is 2 auto riffle and 2 bolt action.
and this was neither of them.

is it possible that it is a bug maybe the player was a beta tester and somehow his riffle change? i dunno really just thought it was strange.

im not a beta tester but would like a decription of the crosshair for the new sniper weapon to see if it was similar to what i saw.

it's not possible to mauanly change the look of youre crosshair in this game is it?, that could explain it,but why pb didnt kick in im not sure.

Iv picked up a G36 for a medic and an SCAR-L in game from player with SF expansion, I am going to buy it when the price comes down, I liked the SUpport kits weapon more than my PKM
