    Armor (Tank/APC) tips

Armored vehicles are powerful weapons in BF2; and they will become even stronger after the next patch (nerfed helos and planes)

    General Tips:

    - Increase mouse sensitivity for Land Vehicles. The turret will spin faster; so it'll be easier to react against a threat.

    - Stay near to Supply crates! Also, when fighting another amour vehicle, destroy supply crates next to them. This is a very important point. If you need, create a Squad and request a supply drop.

    - Use your smoke grenades (X) to distract your enemy or just give you some cover while you fix your tank.

    - Some tank/apc pilots will flee when they are damaged; in city maps where there are few amours; it's a nice idea to kill the pilot and steal his vehicle. It really helps your team.

    - The APC may become a safe transport vehicle... It's sad how I rarely see ppl using it for this.

Tank vs Tank: Aim for the tracks! Yes, there IS a 1 hit kill spot; but it depends on many factors, including angle, distance and many things. I don't think it's really worthy to try to hit this spot. I would rather use a safe 2 shot 1 kill spot.

Tank vs APC: Easy one; 3 shots = 1 kill. There's no real weaker spot; but the turret seams to be stronger thant the rest of the APC. Usually after 2 shots the APC driver will try to flee.

APC vs Tank: Assuming the enemy is an average tank pilot; only try to fight them if you spot him before he sees you. Aim for the tracks; a full APC can barrage (25 shots) can kill a full health tank. The APC can does negligible damage when shot EVERYWHERE else. Also, fire your missile.

APC vs APC: I'd say this is just dumb luck; there're no secrets or spots... Just fire your missile and hope he misses his.

Tank/APC vs. Cars: Easy preys; I personally shot the machinegun and then fire the cannon (tank); since usually after a cannon; if the car is not destroyed, it will be heavily damaged, and the passengers will try to flee.

Tank vs. Helicopters: The coaxial gun does less damage than the gunner's machinegun. Switching seats may be a nice idea. I rarely see people firing the tank's main gun at helos... Don't know why. I killed several helos with the main gun; transport choppers are easier to hit; but attack helos are faster so you must calculate your shot better.

Armor vs Infantry: This is where I fail; somehow I really suck against infantry. No real useful tips here.

Are you sure about APC's turret being more heavily armored than the rest? I've been killed in few secs recently by another APC and I could swear he was hitting me in the turret. Unless I was taking damage from different players but I haven't noticed.

There is a lethal hit on the apc, you use the same method as you do on the tanks, only you do it off the tires. It's very easy to get and you can literally do it in passing (ie drive by).

Against infantry stay in the widest open spot so that they have to run towards you and can't sneak up behind. If you have a box nearby, you'll be set unless there are numerous AT.

TIP: Always shoot your MG at alleyways, cause there will be AT hiding. Also, think where YOU will be when there is a enemy tank.

Id agree with that go for the wheel archies on the apc and learn the difference in the wheel archies the usmc apc is more open and easier to hit than the MEC apc. As for armour v infantry dont doit if your on a street surronded by infantry get the hell out of there . If you going into a situation were theres lots of infantry go were your guys are anyone you dont see your guys might get . If you have no infantry on your side like someone else said try to get in a open space were the enemy is generally in front of you. BTW IMO if your a squad leader and in a apc thats full that apc is the most powerfull ground vehical ingame with a well coordinated squad its near unstopable.

Couple of tips for killing infantry in armor:
-ALWAYS look around! If you're in enemy territory (the most fun place to be) there is always going to be some Spec Ops prick looking out to ruin your day.
              - If you go flag capping, move back and forth, and spin a bit, if someone is trying to sneak up on you it can kill them if you sideswipe them with a 65 ton T-90/Abrams0Type 98
-Always make a squad if you are going to be a dedicated tanker. Without UAV's and Supply Crates, your job becomes much harder. BTW always be an Engineer, everything else is pretty useless in a tank.

I cant be arsed enough to think up anymore tips, but try them out even if they sound obvious, as I do all this stuff and frequently end up getting gold/bronzes/silvers for my efforts.
