A few days ago I started and finished a 32 player round as commander. When the round was over I was the winning commander, had 74 pts (before 2x) and was the top score (Gold Star, my first). I'm not sure how long the round was but it was at least 30 mins and this was not my first win as commander.
The next day I logged in and was presented with a weapon unlock. I did not make rank or install any updates. (Since I have SF I actually got 2 unlocks total.)
Any ideas as to why the unlocks where made available? Not that I'm complaining just trying to understand the mysteries of BF2.
