Water problem and Sound problem

My first problem happens when I shoot at the water with a non-explosive weapon. I dont see the little splashes in the water that I have become attached to. I am running all settings on high except lighting on medium., 4x AA, and 1024 x 768 resolution. My second problem is with sound. Ever since upgrading my drivers a few months ago, The sound in some vehicles has been bad. The AA gun on the carrier used to rumble in my ears, but now it sounds like a pea shooter. When im in jets, the cockpit view sounds like a whisper, while the behind view has sound that crackles.
How can I fix these problems? I have P4 3.2 Ghz, X850 XT PE, 1 gig ram, and an Audigy 2 ZS sound card.

Oh, and I have latest drivers on video and audio cars.
