    Graphic Glitches

OK, here goes. Hopefully someone can help me and a buddy who are having the same problem with BF2.

    Both of our machines are:

    AMD 64 3200
    1 Gig RAM
    GeForce 6600 256mb PCI Express

No over clocking of either the card or CPU.

During game play, we somtimes see purple/reddish sanbags, building walls and different colored trees. It does not happen all the time, and not all areas of a map are effected. Sometimes we also experience almost like a split of the screen where one side goes black or brown and moves around as you do.

The drivers I am using are: 81.98 ForceWare drivers from Nvidia.

This is odd that the two of you are having the same problem on two separate machines...

        Try deleting your cache.

        Delete the contents of:
        ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Yeah, so I guess it just picks it up in game and can't refresh it or reload it the correct texture again? Thats so weird.....this is the only game I have ever had that has done this. Maybe fixed in the next patch or something in the next drivers. Could it have anything to do with running a PCI express card??

not sure about all of you, but most of you are probably having heat problems. If it doesn't occur until you've played for two straight hours, then that is defienetley a heat problem. Run a program that monitors your temps while your playing to check

Yeah, it's not a heat or dust issue. My system is literally 2 weeks old and I just finished building it. My heat as far as my CPU goes is about 30c-31c.
My video card has a UBER big heat sink on it and I have not been able to find anyone with a 6600 that is having a heat issue. Thanks to everyone that has responded to my problem though. I played for 3 hours tonight after turning a few settings back down to medium and had no issues. Though once I did see all MEC models wearing checkered colored jumpsuits....it was really strange.

Do a video card driver reinstall. Go to www.drivercleaner.net and read the directions there. Do EXACTLY as it says to make sure you wont have any driver conflicts. Installing drivers over each other is a no no.

your voltage is too low, or you need to redo your drivers.
